July 31st was a Sunday
The foods that Laurea and I ate yesterday at the Brooklyn Flea’s ongoing “Smorgasburg”. Basically, twelve-year-old me’s idea of what my grown up life would be like. Given that I obviously ate nearly everything available, you will trust me when I tell you that the best things in the market are the chorizo sandwich from Bocata, the chana chaat from Dadar Station, and the anchovies from Bonchovie. Eat them all with my blessing.
ALL OF THE CHOMPS:
Fried anchovies from Bon Chovie
Smoked brisket slider from Mighty Quinn’s
Chana chaat from Dadar Station
Chorizo sandwich and pimientos de pardon from Bocata
Cold sesame noodles from Shorty Tang & Sons
Takoyaki (here referred to as “Japanese Potato Balls”) from Mimi and Coco
Ice cream sandwich from The Good Batch
Feels good to be grown up, doesn’t it, twelve-year-old me?
